A 4-week immersive internship for qualified yoga teachers in Medellín, Colombia
Finishing your yoga teacher training is only the beginning.
For many new teachers, the biggest challenge comes next: stepping in front of real students, finding confidence in your voice and learning how to turn everything you studied during your training into classes that feel natural, authentic and truly your own.
Our Yoga Teacher Internship is designed to bridge that gap.
For four weeks, you'll become part of the teaching community at Flying Tree Yoga in Medellín. You'll gain hands-on experience teaching real classes, receive personal feedback and guidance from experienced teachers, participate in workshops designed around your development, and have the space to experiment, make mistakes and grow.
This isn't another teacher training - it's a place to become a teacher.

Teach real classes
Confidence comes through experience.
During the internship, you'll have regular opportunities to teach yoga to both fellow teachers and the Flying Tree community. Depending on your interests, you can also practise guiding meditation and breathwork, develop workshops and explore different ways of sharing yoga.
Rather than simply talking about teaching, you'll actually teach.
Receive feedback and mentorship
You don't have to figure everything out by yourself.
Our experienced teachers will observe your teaching and offer supportive, constructive feedback to help you develop your sequencing, communication, presence and confidence.
The aim isn't to turn you into a particular kind of teacher. It's to help you discover what works for you.
Find your own teaching voice
There's a big difference between knowing how to teach yoga and feeling like a yoga teacher.
Through teaching practice, workshops, discussion and feedback, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with different approaches and gradually develop your own style.
Our workshops explore subjects such as sequencing, philosophy, hands-on guidance, self-care, communication and building your own yoga community. We also adapt the program to the interests and needs of each internship group.
Teach yoga in another language
Want to take your teaching beyond the English-speaking world?
You can also learn how to teach yoga in Spanish through our specialised Spanish for Yoga Teachers program, included as an optional part of the internship.
You'll develop the vocabulary and confidence to guide students in Spanish, with support from native speakers and opportunities to put what you're learning into practice.
Whether you want to teach while travelling, work in Latin America or Spain, or simply challenge yourself as a teacher, it's a unique way to expand where your yoga qualification can take you.
Is this internship for you?
Our internship is designed for qualified yoga teachers who want more hands-on teaching experience.
You might have completed your teacher training recently and still feel nervous about teaching your first classes. You might already be teaching but want more feedback, practice and inspiration. Or perhaps you'd simply like to spend a month immersed in yoga in English and/or Spanish, developing your skills alongside teachers from different countries.
You don't need to arrive as a polished or experienced teacher. That's exactly what the internship is for.
What matters is that you've completed a recognised yoga teacher training and you're ready to practise, experiment and grow.
Daily timetable
Time is split between group classes, guided study, studio teaching and personal work. From Monday to Friday, language tuition and further-trainings are scheduled during the morning and early afternoon, and teaching practice in the evening. During the weekends you are free to travel, or join us for our specialized workshops and classes.
8am: group meditation
9am: public asana class guided by an intern
10.30am: morning break
11.30am: workshop
1.30pm: lunch break
3pm: group asana practice
5pm: optional practice in Spanish or dinner and rest

Your course and the Yoga Alliance
As part of the requirements of the Yoga Alliance, all registered yoga teachers should complete a minimum of 45 hours teaching yoga, and a minimum of 30 hours of yoga training every 3 years.
You can use our course as 100 hours of continuing education (YACEP)
